About the game
Polish nightmare explores the true story-rich life of one "Sadie Frowne", with a few creative liberties taken, to enhance the players experience within the game.
Featuring meticulously hand-crafted levels, there is much to explore, and even more to learn throughout the story.
Step into the shoes of Sadie Browne in the early 1900's, and immerse yourself into her story

It is a bit confusing, and we do not have names for the characters in the game yet. This will be added in a future update.

The text overlaps because you use too many symbols in the same dialogue box, which GB Studio doesn't handle very well. Kinda lacks some gameplay, but nice story.
This is the Intro-phase of our game, it is meant to be dialogue heavy, while easing you into the controls (Which we still need to add in a future update.)

got stuck on the scene with the statue of liberty beside that a great game with som humor and a little wierd
the Statue of Liberty scene is currently the final portion of this demo! It will be expanded upon in the near future.

there is more dialouge then gameplay wich is a little boring, and the game just suddenly ends with no explanation or anything, i spent a good 2 minuts trying to figure out why, but ended up asking the game dev and they said it wasnt finish, the story seems good though
Yes, the game is dialogue heavy in the beginning, that is because it is an intro to the story!
We know the game ends abruptly, the next parts are still "Work in Progress." :)

The story is somehow simultaneously too fast to have any kind of impact while also making the game feel slow and boring.

I love how the story turned out, especially the interaction with sis. The backgrounds maybe need a little love, just so you know the difference between the rooms. Maybe a bit more gameplay, but otherwise good
We are currently working on an expansion to the story. while we do agree that the backgrounds are very bland, we need it to maintain the visibility of our player character (And other NPCs) :)

There isn't an ending yet. It is an unfinished section that is currently being worked on.
However we are very glad that you enjoy our story, it means a lot :)

Very greatly made it tells a story but some points are hidden like Spoiler alert! Did the mother poison the father or did he just die. And we don't find out much about the character other than they have a mom and had a dad and they are going to america
The father's death is meant to be ambiguous, but you can discern it through text-cues on the mothers part.
We know, and we plan on flushing out the story a bit more in the future! :)

Yes! We know! This is due to the fact our player's sprite is not very visible on a non-monotone background. Skill issue on our part i guess.
We are still glad you enjoyed the Story.

So... There is a lot of dialog, and not really much available gameplay, where you can move.
We plan on flushing out the gameplay a bit more, it is, as stated in our description, still a prototype :)
(also this is an intro, there will be more once you reach America)

The game is, as stated in our description, a prototype. What you are currently seeing is an introduction to the story of Sadie Browne, and it will be flushed out a bit later on. :)
